Visa & Permit Information

All international visitors (except Indian, Bangladeshi, and Maldivian nationals) require a visa prior to travel. Visas are processed through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator. We handle all visa applications and travel permits on your behalf.

  • Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
  • Visa clearance letter (processed by us)
  • Travel insurance (recommended)
  • Passport-size photographs (2 copies)

  • By Air: Paro International Airport – the sole international airport, served by Drukair and Tashi Air
  • By Land: Phuentsholing (southern border with India), Gelephu, and Samdrup Jongkhar
